About F. X. Toole
Stories from F. X. Toole's debut collection were turned into the prize-winning movie, Million Dollar Baby. The collection, ROPE BURNS, has been sold in 14 countries to date. In the last two years of his life, Toole worked furiously to complete his first novel. Even in the hospital, recovering from open-heart surgery, he wrote on his laptop computer. It was as if he knew he was in a race against his own death.
