Christine Kling spent over twenty years living on and around boats and has cruised the waters of the North and South Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Caribbean. Working as a charter boat cook and deckhand in the Virgin Islands, she earned her 100 ton U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s license. Her articles and stories have appeared in many boating publications including Cruising World, Motor Boating & Sailing, and The Tiller and the Pen. She completed her MFA in Creative Writing at Florida International University in Miami, and currently, she is a coordinator for the Magnet Programs of Broward County Schools in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she lives with her teenaged son. She is at work on her second novel, once again featuring Seychelle Sullivan.
