About Michael Simon
Born 1963 in Levittown, New York, Michael Simon studied at Northwestern and New York University. A former actor, he has published essays in The Austin Chronicle, The Women's Alternative Times, and The Journal of American Culture, as well as online. He has worked as stagehand, cab driver, truck loader, disc jockey, proofreader, editor, and ghost writer. In the late 1980s, he worked as a probation officer in Austin, Texas. Simon has taught at Brooklyn College and New York University. He lives in New York City.
