HOT PLASTIC
by Peter Craig
U.S. Publisher: Hyperion (Jan. 2004)
When a father and son pair of con men both fall in love with the same woman, they soon
discover that she can beat them at their own game.
HOT PLASTIC is the coming-of-age story of Kevin Smith who chooses his father’s
profession at an early age. When he gets older he goes after Colette and finally
marries her, when Dad goes to prison.
The setting is Europe and America as Kevin and Colette steal and con their way across
both continents, barely escaping with their lives. When Dad is released from prison,
he contacts them with the plans for the ultimate con job that will be a lifetime payoff.
The ending is a surprise for all the characters, as well as the reader.
