Chatto & Windus: U.K.
As always, Richard Russo, creates characters we care about. His central characters are frequently flawed, and they seem to know it as well as the reader does. The novel opens with a wedding on Cape Cod and ends with another, that of the central character’s daughter. Between the two events his life is turned upside down. Full of love, warmth and even tears, this is Russo at his very best.
