About Skip Horack
Skip Horack was born and raised in Louisiana, attended Florida State University, and practiced law for five years in Baton Rouge. He is a Jones Lecturer in Fiction at Stanford University, where he was also a Wallace Stegner Fellow from 2006-08. His work has appeared in Oxford American, Southeast Review, New Delta Review, Louisiana Literature, Southern Review, StoryQuarterly, Epoch, Narrative Magazine, and elsewhere. His short story collection, THE SOUTHERN CROSS, was published by Mariner Books/Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in August 2009 and won the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference 2008 Bakeless Fiction Prize. Counterpoint will publish his novel THE EDEN HUNTER in September 2010.
